Item Description
1.5" with no back paper or maker name. Reverse has a fixed horizontal bar pin. Button has real photo without dot pattern of woman with the given name of Millie Lawrence also known by her moniker "The Girl In Blue" which also appears on this button. She was famous for manipulating the news media through the artful use of the scandal and she has been called "The First Real Queen Of American Burlesque." She traveled across America, often at odds with local indecency ordinances. Her signature move was tossing her garter to the audience, at which time it was revealed whether or not she remembered her underwear that day. We know of only two examples of this real photo button. Glossy and Exc. Comes w/Hake's COA.
