Item Description
All 31 buttons are 7/8"litho. First is the copyright 1956 set w/E.P.E. on the curl. Hake's Buttons In Sets says 10 seen (plus color varities) but with this group we are up to 11. Previously we knew of only two slogan only buttons that read "Elvis" and "I Like Elvis". In this group are two designs of the "I Like Elvis" slogan. As a bonus, there is an extra color variety of the "Elvis Presley" illustration w/guitar and musical notes. Next are seven of seven known gold record designs with his photo. All 1956 era and now classics such as "Hound Dog/Heartbreak Hotel/Love Me Tender". Final set is also themed around Elvis and his gold records including "Blue Suede Shoes" (tiny dot loss of silver luster), "Heartbreak Hotel" ( showing canopy), "Hound Dog" (howling dog), "Love Me Tender" (stylized Elvis w/ guitar). About four in this group have age traces and are at least Fine. The other 27 are superior litho examples at least VF and near all Exc. Rare in set form.
