Item Description
Original 13.5x34x5" deep Emenee Instruments cardboard shipping carton contains nicely designed 11x31x3" deep hard plastic guitar in original cardboard box. ©1956 Elvis Presley Enterprises. Emenee issued two differently designed boxes, this is gold/black box w/secondary inner cover over neck of guitar. Box shows moderate wear w/2" tear by carrying handle, which also shows moderate wear. Box is Fine overall. Emenee produced this guitar in both four and six-string versions, this is the six-string variety. Body of guitar has a pair of 3.5x6.25" decals. One has Elvis photo and facsimile signature and the other has text "You Ain't Nothin' But A Hound Dog - Love Me Tender" plus images of hound dog and heart. The top of the neck reads "Emenee Official Elvis Presley Guitar." Complete w/all six tuning keys, six strings and has the original shoulder strap cord. Body of guitar features marbled plastic design. Decals are 100% complete. Guitar has pair of 1" hairline cracks to body of guitar where bottom metal piece connects to body, but this is only noticeable upon close inspection and guitar o/w displays very nicely. Technically Fine, but retains very strong eye appeal. Original shipping carton has aged/worn shipping label, grease pencil stock numbers and shows expected wear/dust soiling. VG overall. First example of this rare shipping carton we've offered in our 56 years.
