Item Description
11.25x17" DC Comics artboard has pen and ink (w/white paint accents) original art for cover to Armageddon: Inferno #5, published by DC in July 1992. Art is by Michael Netzer (born Michael Nasser, taking the Hebrew name Netzer upon his conversion to Judaism), known for his work on both DC and Marvel Comics in the 1970s. Page was inked by Joe Rubinstein. Story spun out of the Armageddon 2001 storyline and cover features time rift, showing the then-current versions of heroes staring down Golden Age heroes, including counterpart for Green Lantern (Guy Gardner/Alan Scott), Flash (Wally West/Jay Garrick), Hawkman (Katar Hol/Carter Hall) as well as Wonder Woman facing down Wildcat and Superman facing down Starman (Ted Knight). Both Netzer and Rubinstein have signed at lower right. DC publishing indicia state pasteover at upper left. Top margin has additional pasted stat and inked names of creators, title, issue number and month of publication. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp as well as printers inkstamp and pasted stat of other DC creator names. Left margin of artboard has slight uneven trim, but art remains clean and Exc.
