Item Description
11.5x17" artboard features pen and ink original art for page 9 of Hawkman #18, published by DC Comics in Feb. 1967. Art is by longtime Silver Age Hawkman artist Murphy Anderson (1926-2015) and features both Hawkman and his friend and ally Adam Strange in both panels as well as the original art portraits across banner at top, which features wonderfully hand-lettered "World That Vanished" story title. Anderson has signed art at bottom. Top margin has inked title and issue/page number. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Artboard has some lt. handling wear w/faint 4" horizontal crease at center right; only visible in reflected light. Some lt. aging to left side of bottom panel w/small and faint stain to bottom margin, but art remains clean and Exc. overall.
