Item Description
Mostly 8.5x11" three hole punched paper sheets w/copy of art for Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #8 (Marvel, Sept. 1983) featuring "S" (Shi'ar to Sub-Mariner) by various artists that are hand-colored as color guides for the published issue. Original wraparound cover is two stat pages taped into spread and hand colored w/mylar overlay and taped over corrections. Approximately 135 individual sheets, with many duplicates and alternate pages. Pages included from both regular and deluxe versions. Classic Marvel character style guide-biography series by Mark Gruenwald with art by Ron Wilson, Dave Cockrum, John Byrne, Mike Zech, Keith Pollard, Ed Hannigan, Bob Layton and more. Characters include Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, Son of Satan, Sub-Mariner and much more. Color artist was Andy Yanchus. Pages have color break notations in pen. Color guides are original to 1983 comic issue. Also includes additional pages for Marvel Universe #12 section on Squadron Supreme. Lt. aging/handling wear. Overall displays VF. Large, extensive lot.
