4.25x7". 12 pp. Dated July 1835. Published by the American Anti-Slavery Society. Cover features image of a slave-owner whipping his child slaves, juxtaposed by an image of a white man teaching black children in a school. Caption below images reads "Which of these systems of education shall we hand down to posterity?" Contents include stories of the horrors of slavery, as well as the goings-on of the abolitionist movement, such as coverage of meetings around the country. Moderate wear throughout, most notably faint scattered staining and toning, as well as some scattered chipping and tiny area of paper loss on bottom right corner. VG.
