Item Description
Most pages are 6x9" colored paper sheets mounted to 8.5x11" paper sheets (issue #23 is not mounted) and are 8.5x11" pages) w/copy of art for the Amazing Spider-Man (Marvel, 1965) featuring early appearances of The Amazing Spider-Man w/Scorpion and Beetle by Steve Ditko that are hand-colored as color guides for the published reprint hard cover Marvel Masterworks books. Lot contains issues #20-23. #20 and 21 have complete 20 story pages and covers, #22 missing three pages (pgs. 15, 17, 18) and includes four additional printed color proofs, #23 missing one page (pg. 16). Historic Silver Age Spider-Man storylines by Stan Lee with art by Steve Ditko. Color artist on reprint issues was Andy Yanchus. Paper pages w/"Marvel Masterworks The Amazing Spider-Man" written/stamped at top and marked up w/new color break notations. Two covers have acetate overlays w/text color. Used in Marvel Masterworks #10 The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 (October 1989), that reprinted issues #20-30, Annual #2. Lt. aging/handling wear and overall clean. Overall displays VF.
