Item Description
First is a charming depiction of Minnie in brass 1-1/8" tall. Incised details include her hat, polka dot dress and high heels. Hinged vertical pin and clasp. No maker. Exc. Second is an unusual white metal pin of Mickey's head only with horizontal bar pin. Across his face above the big smiling mouth is "Mickey." Some loss of blue eye paint and the eye without paint has a tiny pie-cut shape accent. First seen in our 56 years. VF. Third also in white metal with color accents is very early Mickey playing a violin. He has lost his legs just below his pant's edge. As is, but a first seen rarity. Fourth is a 1" Mickey w/arms extended. Parts are in red and green enamel wi/the other areas in brass but likely originally in a silver wash that evaporated w/time. Silver remains on back with a vertical pin. Last is c. 1930 early German made tin Mickey w/reverse tab at top holding a straight stickpin. Mickey is die-cut flat tin standing 1-11/16" tall. One gloved hand shows four fingers and his upper jaw has six teeth, both hallmarks of the earliest German Mickeys. On the right edge a small metal extension once held a rubber tail; however, these hardened and disintegrated with age and we've never seen an example with the original tail. Glossy and Exc. Rare.
