Item Description
Stan Lee (1922-2018), born Stanley Martin Lieber lived in various New York neighborhoods during his younger years, including Manhattan, Washington Heights and the Bronx, where he attended DeWitt Clinton High School before entering the comic book business w/Timely Comics and helping make Marvel Comics what it is today. Offered here is Lieber/Lee's 1939 Clintonian Senior yearbook. Lee is pictured on page 64, where his nickname is noted as "Gabby." His entry goes on to note his involvement w/various school clubs, including Chess Club, French Club and Ping Pong Club. Clothbound hardcover shows even aging and moderate wear along spine, w/large split to spine covering and corner tip wear, but cover remains attached. Pages bear typical inked signatures w/large penciled name on inside front cover, but yearbook is Fine overall. A must-have early artifact for Stan "The Man" Lee.
