Item Description
SOS was a Warren-esque comic magazine, published in Spain by Valenciana 1948-1984, w/four well-differentiated periods, existing first as a humor magazine before transitioning to a horror anthology format. This issue is from the "third stage," which ran for 58 issues. Offered here is the cover to SOS #26, published in 1981. 11x14-5/8" artboard w/attached worn vellum overlay features mixed media original art for cover, w/demonic woman emerging from bonfire flames. This ties into "Lady Satan" lead story in this issue and has title/issue number in pencil at top margin of both art and overlay. Art has been signed "E. Vaño" at lower left. Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the comic this cover art was created for.
