Item Description
Presented here is one of the earliest known Baseball Hall of Fame player used bats, once belonging to New York Giants star outfielder, Ross Youngs. Accompanied by a full PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity, which provides all of the specific details surrounding the ordering, manufacturing distribution and subsequent use of this incredible baseball relic. What elevates this bat to a different level as compared to other Baseball HOF gamers is the fact that Youngs' baseball career would come to a tragic end long before it should have due to a rare kidney ailment, known at the time as Bright's disease. Ross had just completed his tenth season of Major League Baseball in 1926, cut short in August by his health issues, and he would end up passing away in 1927 at the age of 30. Youngs' final MLB numbers included a very impressive career batting average of .322 along with 812 runs scored, 592 RBI's, 153 stolen bases and two World Championships to his credit. Ross would be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veteran's Committee in 1972.

PSA/DNA documentation notes while bat is 'un-cracked" is does exhibit "outstanding use" as evidenced by such things as: 2x1" piece missing from the front barrel, knob has been chipped away, some checking from repeated ball contact on the front barrel, "MAPC" carved into the handle and more, and that the bat "conveys substantial use, post Ross Youngs." However, bat remains a totally presentable and displayable piece of baseball history. The full three page LOA is shown online and fully details everything one would want to know about this bat. Also comes w/MEARS documentation. Don't pass up the opportunity to acquire this Ross Youngs memento, few examples of any of his bats have come up for auction.
