Item Description
7/8" w/"Baldwin & Gleason" stamped metal back. Ebbets successfully ran for NY State Assembly in 1896, while being a major shareholder in the Brooklyn Superbas (Dodgers) baseball team. He would be named club president in 1898. His short career in politics came to an end in 1904 after a losing bid for NY state Senate. He served as the Dodgers president up until his death in 1925. Lt. trace of surface wear/age only seen upon close inspection. Glossy, VF. A button rarity for both baseball and political collectors.
