Item Description
Blister card contains 5" tall figure of Star Trek - The Next Generation Jean Luc Picard as seen in the episode "Tapestry" #000096 number on left foot bottom. 1996 Playmates. This is the infamous figure that only 1701 (as in U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701) were released in honor of Star Trek's 30th Anniversary, the first of a series of limited edition figures. This figure made collectors angry that Playmates showed little regard for its customers in favor of the secondary market demand. The figures were bringing so much on the secondary market when released in 1996 that the average collector lost hope of ever being able afford one to complete their collection. The backlash of this helped slow down the popular Playmates figure line that would end a few years later. Offered here is your chance to obtain this elusive figure in high grade. AFA subgrades are as follows - C80 B85 F85.
