Item Description
.75" dia. with stud back text "The Pettibone Mfg. Co./Cin. O." This was a huge event for which planning began in June, 1896. This stud carries the emblem of the event which was also seen enlarged on the cover of sheet music. Against a background of San Francisco Bay, a jester in costume holds aloft a bunch of grapes while other hand holds a staff with very tiny jester's head on the end. Jester balances on the back of the state symbol grizzly bear. Tiny wear only in reflected light. Rare. VF. California Button Collection.
