Item Description
1.75 with 99% intact silvering on the mirror. Very light and minor surface oxidation on the collet. Top has hand-lettered caption "S.F. Cal." while below caption reads "Apr. 18 '06." The foreground shows total destruction of buildings, with smoke still rising, while background shows several taller structures that escaped collapse. We've seen just one similar piece, a 1.5" button with the same date. A rare photographic mirror recording the tragedy. Faintest trace of edge toning along skyline, 11-2 o'clock. Glossy VF. One known to us. Rare. California Button Collection.
