Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1975 Topps Baseball set consists of 660 cards.  Their design borrowed various elements from past Topps sets including facsimile autographs on their cardfronts, and bright, full-bleed borders. The set also boasted of  "All 660 Cards in One Series!" - increasing the odds of obtaining a favorite player in the first pack. With its tally reaching 660, the cards were able to be printed in equal quantities, eliminating any anomalies like "Short Prints" or even "High Numbers." Topps also issued an identical 660-card "Mini" series that, as the name implies, were smaller than the standard-sized issue, each measuring 2-1/4" by 3-1/8" and available exclusively in Michigan and on the West Coast.
Gary Edmund Carter (April 8, 1954 - February 16, 2012) was an American professional baseball player whose 19-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career was spent primarily with the Montreal Expos and New York Mets. Nicknamed "the Kid" for his youthful exuberance, Carter was named an All-Star 11 times, he won a Gold Glove Award three times and a Silver Slugger Award 5 times and was also a member of the 1986 World Series Champion Mets. Gary Carter was elected to the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 2003.
