Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1968 Topps Baseball consists of 598 cards. Card fronts feature large color photographs bordered by the visual appearance of burlap. The player's name is below the photo but on the unusual background; a colored circle on the lower right carries the team and position. Ernest Banks, nicknamed "Mr. Cub" and "Mr. Sunshine", was an American professional baseball player who starred in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a shortstop and first baseman for the Chicago Cubs between 1953 and 1971. Some of his career accomplishments include being a 14 time All-Star, a two time NL MVP and part of the MLB All-Century Team. Ernie Banks was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1977.
