Item Description
1-3/8x3.25". The 1921 W551 baseball card set consists of 10 cards. The unnumbered cards were printed in strips, with each front revealing a color drawing of a National Pastime hero. The player's name and team name are printed in the bottom margin. The backs are blank. Casey Stengel was a Major League player all the way back in the 1910s for Brooklyn before finding his calling as a manager in 1934. Casey managed for a total of 25 years, finishing with a career record of 1,905-1,842. Stengel would be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966.
