Item Description
11.5x15.5" framed w/9.5x13.5" opening. Patriotic design w/eagle and draped flags above portrait and a battle scene below. Eagle has banner in its mouth w/the names of Taylor's various military victories, including Palo Alto and Monterey. Light scattered wear, w/two faint moisture marks, one in upper left corner, and the other along the right edge. Extremely Fine. Not examined outside of frame. Only the second we can recall encountering in our 56 years. An attractive Mexican American War print on the cusp of Taylor's 1848 candidacy.
