Item Description
22x24.5" cotton printed in brown ink w/black accents. Listed in Threads Of History as plate 210 on page 128. Mexican-American war vignettes include: "Buena Vista," "Monterey," "Palo Alto," and "Resaca de la Palma." Taylor textiles are among the rarest and most desirable early political campaign artifacts. This example has black ink accents, making the key design elements more pronounced and bold than other examples w/only brown ink. Some minor fraying and edge wear along the top and bottom edges, as well as a faint vertical red ink mark down the center of the textile. Otherwise light handling wear. VF. An attractive display textile for the elusive candidate that will frame beautifully.
