Item Description
1.75x2.75x.5" thick designed as a book with glass covers featuring choice color portrait on reverse of glass front plus reverse glass back with text "Forget Me Not." c. 1848. The glass plates are assembled with cardboard to form ornately embossed spine covering and edges are colored and embossed to simulate the gold-leaf edges of a fine quality book. Crack in glass on Washington portrait in upper right corner, otherwise moderate scattered wear. VG. Bright color on the portrait. Scarce.
