Item Description
13.5x18.75". Dated June 8, 1866. Made payable to Henry G. Norton and Virgil Whitcomb. Santa Anna is remembered for defeating Texans at the Alamo and his 1836 capture at the hands of Sam Houston in San Jacinto. Santa Anna is a bold figure in the history of Mexico and Texas. This bond was issued while he was in exile scheming to depose Emperor Maximilian. Light scattered surface and handling wear, most notably along the edges. Extremely Fine. Will frame to Exc. Comes w/JSA LOA.
