Item Description
11x17". Dated October 13, 1908. Signed by President Porfirio Diaz and Secretary of War and Navy Manuel Gonzalez de Cosio. Appointment issued to Fernando Avalos to the position of "Mayor del Cuerpo de Ingenieros Constructores" (Army Corps of Engineers). Fold at center is as issued. Signed by multiple Mexican government officials on interior. Retains original ornate seal at top right. Otherwise light surface wear and handling. Extremely Fine. Cosio was a close ally of Diaz, and remained in his position at the start of the Mexican Revolution until Diaz's resignation and exile in 1911. Comes w/JSA LOA. 6x8.5" portrait card of Diaz is also included.
