Item Description
4" long figural replica of a crocodile made of luminous plastic. Finely detailed body covered in scales, oval eyes and jaw line accented w/sharp teeth. Top of the back has three small holes and when blowing air into the mouth a high pitched whistle is produced which can be varied some by placing fingers over one or more of the holes. This was a General Mills test premium from 1941 offered over only two Minnesota radio stations. General Mills recorded only 809 requests and today we know of only four examples extant. One of the most desired and elusive rarities in the hobby of radio premium collecting. Choice condition, NM and glows. Jack Armstrong, the All-American Boy, was a radio adventure series which maintained its popularity from 1933 to 1951. It was also adapted into books, comic books and film. Jack Armstrong entered the National Radio Hall of Fame in 1989.  John Grossman Collection.
