Item Description
Each is a slightly convex tin disk with folded tab on reverse holding a straight pin with a second tab to hold the point closed. Some of these have a circular silver front rim, on some a circle of white dots is added and on others there is a black wavy line. Only exception is final button in group for Tyrone Power which has flesh tone tint plus red and blue on outer edge. We will list 20 of the most well known of the 60: Brigitte Bardot, Ingrid Bergman, Marlon Brando, Montgomery Clift, James Dean, Vittorio DeSica, Diana Dors, Anita Ekberg, Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Ava Gardner, Jean Gabin, Audrey Hepburn, Rock Hudson, Grace Kelly, Gina Lollobrigida, Kim Novak, Maureen O'Sullivan, Jane Russell, Frank Sinatra, Orson Welles. Of the 60, 33 have small scratches or some degree of photo darkening. Some also have silver luster loss on reverse, but all names remain readable on the back. 27 are VF to Exc. Largest, by far, group we've seen. These represent the only known wearable vintage badge for many of these celebrities. See next lot.
