Item Description
2-7/8x3-7/8" on thick stock. Lansing, Michigan union bug. Dated November 6, 1912. Features the skeleton of an elephant in a museum, meant to represent the Republican Party. Birth and death dates read "1854-1912". Additional text on the "museum description" reads "Friend of Man in infancy, but waxed ravenous at maturity: finally exterminated by combined onslaught of Donkey and Bull Moose." Some light vertical scratches down the center of the image that detract little, otherwise moderate handling. VF. Wayne Otchis Collection.
