Item Description
9x17.5x1.75" deep box contains complete pieces for Transogram game No. 3843, ©1954 National Comics Publications Inc. Box lid features illustration of Superman flying w/Daily Planet in bkg. Inset images of Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Perry White and Jimmy Olsen included at side. Box has some scattered edge/corner tip wear w/some surface paper rippling to underside but o/w remains tight and VF. 17x17" gameboard has various Superman action scenes w/center of board dominated by 5x5" image of Superman flying by Daily Planet which is repeated on board label on back. Label has some small spots of glue staining at edge as applied and board surface has some slight rippling to edges, but clean and Exc. overall. Illustrated box insert has pair of built-in spinners and is NM. Factory-sealed well has some splits and corner tips off, but die-cut Superman playing piece, newspaper cards, plastic markers and plastic standees remain NM. Also includes original instruction folder and small Transogram inspection slip. Old store stock and rare in this unused condition.
