Item Description
3-1/8x4" clipped autograph album page bears the blue ink signatures of Dizzy Dean (1910-1974) And Jim Gleason (1912-1996). Dean began his Major League career w/just two appearances for the 1930 St. Louis Cardinals but would go on to star for a total of 12 Major League seasons, finishing w/a career record of 150-83, an ERA of 3.02 and a very impressive .644 winning percentage, one of the best of all-time. Dizzy was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1953. Gleeson played all or parts of five Major League seasons (1936, 1939-42) for the Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. After his playing career ended, he worked as a manager, coach and scout. Signatures were signed c. 1939-1940, during the time both Dean and Gleeson played together w/the Cubs. Left margin has some scattered newspaper residue as once mounted, but signatures would display Exc. if matted and framed. Comes w/JSA LOA.
