Item Description
Lot of three items signed by noted circus clown Emmett Kelly (1898-1979), who created the clown character "Weary Willie," based on the hobos of the Great Depression in the 1930s. Lot includes "American Circus" first day cover (FDC) w/May 2, 1966 postmark signed in green felt tip pen, 5x7" fan photo signed in blue felt tip pen and 8.5x11" typed letter (which references Red Skelton and mentions enclosed photo), which has been signed in green felt tip pen. Letter has been folded as mailed and has some aging/wear. VF. Photo has even lt. aging and minor corner tip wear. VF/Exc. FDC is Exc. Comes w/JSA COAs.
