Item Description
6.25x11x2.5" deep nicely illustrated cardboard box contains set of four 4" long tin litho cars by Automatic Toy Co. ©1948 Fawcett Publications Inc. Box has die-cut lid and depicts race spectators and flagman w/Captain Marvel flying overhead against lightning bolt. Side panel has side view of driver in race car, opposite side has two crew members working on Captain Marvel race car. Die-cut box insert is designed as race track w/holes to hold tires of race cars. Lid is detached and is in three pieces; main lid below perforation line remains whole. Box is evenly aged and shows handling/edge/corner wear. Just Good but a rare and desirable box. Cars are complete w/four keys and all work. Slight trace of wear to yellow and blue cars, which are VF overall while other two are bright and VF/Exc.
