Item Description
Wax paper wrapper measures 2.5x5.5" w/repeated design at center featuring "Superman" comic book title/logo and flying Superman image plus "Fo-Lee Gum Corp." name. Wrapper remains wrapped around intact and as issued original segmented piece of gum contents as sold individually for 1¢ from display boxes in 1949. © Nat'l Comics Pub. Fo-Lee also produced a rare and much sought-after Superman brass badge that was issued by itself or w/a wallet. Wrapper has tears at twisted left end but o/w complete and intact. Wrapper exhibits scattered wear to ends as originally wrapped around the gum and a few tiny age spots. As is, displays nicely with bold designs and color. Fine overall. Gum is in its original issued state. Comes w/3x4.25" wrapper for "Superman Pop" lollipop by the E. Rosen Company of Providence, RI. 1940s. All-over creasing and handling wear as once wrapped and evenly aged. Fine. Rare and just the second we've offered in our 56 years. Harry Matetsky Collection.
