Item Description
8.25x14.75" Crescent illustration board cut into the shape of the final felt pennants and features hand-painted full body image of Captain Marvel w/hand-lettered "Capt. Marvel" name and Fawcett copyright. c. 1940s. Prototype's general design was used for various different color configurations (see following lots), each featuring left corners cut on angles w/tip having V cut, resulting in two points. Some scattered handling wear, w/creases at lower left, to right of Captain Marvel image and across his ankles. Two vertical creases and corner tip wear, but not overly distracting. VF display.
