Item Description
5.5x7.75" envelope w/image of Purple Rider Western comic character contains two 3-7/8x7" transfer sheets which feature total of 24 different full color transfer designs of characters in comic book published in Canada by Double A Comics, who were responsible for publishing Captain Marvel's adventures for Canadian audiences. While Captain Marvel and the Marvel Family do not appears on either transfer sheet, characters included are Purple Rider, Commander Steel, Robin Hood and Mountie character Kip Keene. Set was sold for 15¢ (Canadian) during the 1940s. Envelope is lightly aged and has some creases to main flap. Envelope is VF overall. Transfer sheets are unused and Exc. Rare and obscure comic publisher item and a little-known Captain Marvel-connected item. First we've seen in our 56 years. Harry Matetsky Collection.
