Item Description
Pair of 10.5x12.5" acetate sheets have hand-painted image areas; the first 2.5x3.5" and showing Cinderella and Prince Charming descending stair after their wedding, Cinderella's bird friends holding up her veil; second image area measures approx. 3.5x5.5" and depicts row of seven guards standing at attention as Cinderella and Prince Charming descend stairs. Combined, they form 2-cel setup from the 1950 Disney animated feature film. Pinpoint flake of paint loss to Prince Charming's shoe and small paint flake to one guard's boot, but o/w cels' paint is fully intact. Displays Exc. and comes w/slightly larger hand-painted presentation bkg. that completes this iconic scene. Original production artwork from Cinderella rarely comes up for sale as this Disney feature film was released after the Courvoisier studio closed in the late 1940s, but before the Disney Corner Store opened in 1955. This gap in time meant that at the time there was nowhere for the public to obtain art from this beloved film directly from Disney. This exemplary Disney art would make for a beautiful framed display.
