Item Description
14x20" card stock poster for April 30, 1976 concert at Hancher Auditorium on the University of Iowa campus featuring singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris. Poster design features vintage illustration of Native American kneeling at a riverside. Harris formed "The Hot Band" after representatives at Warner Bros. agreed to recorder her only if she "Got A Hot Band." She enlisted James Burton from Elvis Presley's band and Glen Hardin another Presley collaborator and former member of Buddy Holly's band the Crickets and plucked John Ware, Hank DeVito and Emory Gordy Jr. from her time w/Gram Parsons and the Fallen Angles. Poster has been signed on back in pencil by artist Scott Allan Ross. A diagonal margin bend at lower right corner. Otherwise only trivial handling wear. Exc.
