Item Description
17.75x25" on thin stock. This festival of live music and film proved too ambitious an undertaking that never saw the likes of listed acts Throbbing Gristle and Public Image Limited play, but the event did feature two early U2 sets, both in terms of their carrer arc and the fact they played at 3:30AM! Less than 800 people attended the festival which ran continuously from Friday night through midnight on Saturday Feb. 17th. One vertical and three horizontal creases w/minor loss at junctions. Residue on reverse corners and moderate handling. VG. U2 had changed their name from The Hype in March of 1978 and were still a fledgling act building their fan base through live shows in Ireland. They had yet to release any recorded music and wouldn't head to Windmill Lane Studios until Aug. of '79 where they recorded what would become their first release, a three song EP titled "Three" or "U2 3". A historic and early Irish gig poster featuring one of the all-time great acts to leap from the island to international superstardom.
