Item Description
1-7/16x2-5/8". The T205 issue consists of 209 different cards, although just 198 players are represented in the T205 set- a few multiple poses and some variations account for the higher accepted total. Border graphics of varying types, usually incorporating team logos and equipment, identified the respective league. Facsimile signatures crossed a portion of many ballplayers' depictions.
John Tortes "Chief" Meyers was a Major League Baseball catcher for the New York Giants, Boston Braves, and Brooklyn Robins from 1909 to 1917. He played on the early Giants teams under manager John McGraw and was the primary catcher for Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson.
