Item Description
1-7/16x2.5". The 1919 W514 set is comprised of 120 cards. The front of the cards portray a comparatively crude drawing of the athletes portrayed with a color background and a thin black line containing the pose. The player's name, team, position and the card number all are identified at the bottom of the frame. Card backs are blank.
Claude Preston "Lefty" Williams was an American pitcher in Major League Baseball. He is probably best known for his involvement in the 1919 World Series fix, known as the Black Sox Scandal. Williams was a World Series Champion in 1917.
