Item Description
1-7/16x2.5". The 1919 W514 set is comprised of 120 cards. The front of the cards portray a comparatively crude drawing of the athletes portrayed with a color background and a thin black line containing the pose. The player's name, team, position and the card number all are identified at the bottom of the frame. Card backs are blank.

Maximillian George Carnarius, known as Max George Carey, was an American professional baseball center fielder and manager. Carey played in Major League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1910 through 1926 and for the Brooklyn Robins from 1926 through 1929. He managed the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1932 and 1933. Some career highlights include being a ten time NL stolen base leader and a World Series Champion in 1925. Carey was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1961.
