Item Description
1-5/16x2.5". The 1923 W572 hand-cut baseball card set consists, as designated by the American Card Catalog, of 121 cards. The set so closely resemble 1922 E120 American Caramel set that it actually uses the exact same images, with the sole exception of Ty Cobb. The cards were appear in black-and-white and sepia-toned and were originally issued in strips of 10 cards of baseball players and boxers of the time, requiring precise cutting to insure high quality. The white-bordered cards featured a centered image of the player, the player's written in script within the bottom half of the image while his team seems manually printed below that name. Each unnumbered card reveals a copyright symbol at the bottom right in the image with an alphabetical combination implying the source of the photograph.

Eddie Collins Eddie was a six-time World Series champion, was the 1914 AL MVP and is enshrined in the Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame as well as the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. Eddie Collins was inducted into  the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1939.
