Item Description
2x2-5/8" Cuban card issued as a premium by Billiken brand cigars. Cards in this set feature players from the 1923-24 Cuban Professional League. The set includes 15 cards each for the four teams that participated that season: Almendares, Habana, Marianao, and Santa Clara. Glossy front features a B&W photo, players name and team. The back of the card has an ad for "Billiken." Cards in this elusive set are among the scarcest and most popular of the pre-war Cuban issues.

Freddie Fitzsimmons was an American professional baseball right-handed pitcher, manager, and coach, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1925 to 1943 with the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. He was a two time World Series Champion in 1933 and 1954. Designated by CSG as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection".
