Item Description
Complete set of 86 different 13/16" litho buttons issued in post-WWII cereal boxes 1945-46. Designed by the master creator of premiums for children, Sam Gold, they were issued as five sub-sets of 18 each with each sub-set including Superman to make a total of 86 different characters. Among the most famous are Blondie and Dagwood, Dick Tracy and some associates, Felix, Flash Gordon, Popeye & Olive Oyl, Little Orphan Annie (w/ Sandy, Warbucks and Punjab), Superman and The Phantom. Ten have tiny paint wear but remain glossy and VF. The other 76 are Exc. to NM. Much above typical condition.
