Item Description
1.25" button w/no back paper as issued and no maker's name. Unlisted in Hake. Beneath the word "Progressive" are fine lines representing the burst of a sun rising just above the moose's head. The artist drawn moose holds a ribbon in his mouth suspending a Liberty Bell. Circular portraits of Roosevelt & Johnson, real photos without dot patterns, flank the moose. Three tiny 1/16" to 1/8" vertical craze lines; two at 9 o'clock just left of Roosevelt's portrait and one Johnson's left cheek. Otherwise glossy and clean. A well centered example. Technically VF. A rare and always popular jugate design. Wayne Otchis Collection.
