Item Description
5.5x7.25x2.5" deep illustrated cardboard window box contains interestingly-designed toy by Poynter Productions Inc. ©1964 Filmways TV Productions Inc. Box features Uncle Fester illustrations and came in two versions, one w/instructions featuring Fester and another showing various ways to play w/lightbulb, as offered here. Box is complete w/die-cut insert and shows scattered edge/corner tip wear w/creased area above window, but original cellophane window remains firmly attached. Box is Fine/VF overall. The other box version mentioned above also included a ring; this version did not include ring. 4" tall battery-operated plastic lightbulb w/metal screw base has "ML" logo as well as "Mystery Light" name. Bulb was lit using either aforementioned ring or aluminum foil. Has majority of original foil "Made In Japan" sticker once on base of bulb now on insert. Comes w/original battery, which shows some aging and was once taped to insert (now loose, resulting in small surface paper tear on insert). Lightbulb has been tested and works. Exc. Scarce and one of the most imaginative Addams Family items. First we've offered complete w/battery. Michael Lartigaut Collection.
