Item Description
Original box w/illustrated lid contains 13.5" tall toy w/vinyl head/hands and feet, fabric outfit and tin litho base. Made in Japan by Nomura Toys. c. 1960s. Box shows lt. aging/handling wear w/a few lt. creases to sides of lid, but box retains its shape and remains free of splits. Fine overall. This is the early version of this classic toy, referred to as the "Frankenstein Monster." Instead of later "Mod Monster", this monster wears classic black attire. Base design has Frankenstein name. Toy worked well when tested. Frankenstein produces a screeching noise as he moves his upper body and arms. His pants then fall to expose underwear as his face lights red as if embarrassed.
