Item Description
6.75x8.5" & 4.25x11" photocopy (xerographic print) on thin red stock produced before the show. PNW flyer promoting "A Revenge Benefit With The Screamers, The Products, & Radio Pulse" in Portland, OR at "1510 SE 9th" (Beaver Hall) on Thursday May 18, 1978. Flyer features iconic Screamers logo by artist Gary Panter. Slightly uneven right border as made. Otherwise only trivial handling. Exc. Uncut ticket strip has six tickets w/art by unknown designer. Only minor handling. NM. Among the great unrecorded punk acts, the LA based band led by Tomata du Plenty and Tommy Gear featured a drummer and two keyboardists w/a host of other rotating musicians. They proved to be a major influence on the hardcore and post-hardcore genres notably the Dead Kennedys, Germs and later Jay Reatard (Lost Sounds). Panter's logo is among the most enduring images of the LA punk scene.
