Item Description
6-7/8" tall painted composition figure w/spring coil bobbing head feature. Made in Japan (as noted by label on underside), 1960s. Misspelled "Phanton Of The Opera" name on front of base. From a very rare series that also includes Frankenstein and Wolfman, not to be confused w/the more commonly seen (and totally different) Universal base Phantom bobbing head. Three tiny hairlines on back of head at neck, but these are only noticeable upon close inspection. Small edge flake to inner rim of head. A few tiny paint nicks to bottom edge of cape and base corner; these are noted for complete accuracy but figure is still an exceptional example. Choice, Exc. condition. One of the rarest character bobbing heads, often missing from even the most advanced collections. First we've offered in our 57 years.
