11.75x19.75x3-3/8" deep illustrated cardboard display box contains 9" tall hard plastic viewer. Multiple Products Inc., 1960s. Box has nice color images of "Werewolf" (Lon Chaney Jr.), "Creature," "Frankenstein" (Glenn Strange) and Dracula (Bela Lugosi). Viewer boasted "No Bulbs, No Batteries, Hand-Action Complete With 4 Full Edition Films" and comes w/the four issued films - Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolf Man and Creature From The Black Lagoon. "Dracula's Return" features images from Dracula w/Bela Lugosi and "Frankenstein's Revenge" features images from Frankenstein w/Boris Karloff. "Death Of A Werewolf" features images of Oliver Reed from the 1961 Hammer film The Curse Of The Werewolf and "The Creature Strikes" features images from the 1954 film The Creature From The Black Lagoon. Each of the included double-sided film cards have two images from respective films on each side. Box shows moderate wear along bottom w/heavy denting at lower right corner and lesser dent at left due to tightness of shrinkwrap. Shrinkwrap has split in 2.5" area along seam on left side panel and shows some wear from Horrorscope crank handle. Back has three snags to cellophane measuring 1/8" to .75" but box remains factory-sealed. Box has some corner tip wear and interior insert used to secure viewer shows moderate edge wear w/some creases. Box is Fine overall but colors remain bright and vibrant. Viewer has scattered aging to bat-shaped "Horrorscope" label but viewer is o/w Exc. Rest of contents remain as factory-sealed. A reproduction of the classic toy was produced years ago, but the example offered here is all original. One of a few known factory-sealed examples and among the most sought-after monster items of the 1960s, this piece eludes many of even the most advanced collections. Janusey Brothers Collection.
