Item Description
Pair of 3-5/8x6.5" first day cover (FDC) envelopes. First has Oct. 14, 1963 Washington, DC postmark commemorating the centennial of the National Academy of Sciences. FDC has been boldly signed by legendary sci-fi author Isaac Asimov (1920-1992) in blue ink. Exc. Second FDC has been signed by total of three sci-fi authors -  Piers Anthony in blue felt tip pen, Ray Bradbury (1920-2012) in black felt tip pen (adding "2/12/92" date) and Arthur C. Clarke (1919-2008) in blue ink. FDC does not bear postmark or stamp and features image of the Space Shuttle. Envelope has some margin aging w/small spot of staining at lower right. VF overall. Comes w/JSA LOA and COA.
